Well, Imagined Life is like a WhoAmI?

Each episode takes you through the life of a well-known person as if you, the listener, are that person. Here’s the twist: you don’t find out who you are until the end of the episode. So it’s part biography, part mystery.

In 2018, Imagined Life was named Best New Podcast by the tech website Quartzy who described it as a “surprisingly humanistic project,” adding that “each episode is essentially its own puzzle box. The best episodes are deeply emotional, and true feats of storytelling."

Fans of Imagined Life have told me they’ve cried while listening, which doesn’t surprise me because I often cried while writing them, sometimes in a Starbucks.
